WILLIAMSON is one of the world’s largest manufacturers
of annatto colourants.
Since
1994, Niel Dinesen and his team have been supplying
Hawkins Watts with several, unique annatto blends.
Dinesen Trading
Company was founded more than 20 years ago by Niel Dinesen
and has focussed on
the extraction and manufacture of specialty annatto
colours.
The business was sold to D.D. Williamson in early 2006 and
is currently being integrated into the D.D. Williamson range.

Williamson sources annatto seeds from around the world and
holds large stocks of raw material in order to buffer any changes
in seed quality and market forces. This allows the company
to achieve consistent batch-to-batch results, despite seasonal
variations in raw materials.
The D.D. Williamson range now includes water-soluble
annatto liquids and powders as well as oil soluble solution
and suspensions.
D.D. Williamson produces specialty blends for applications
such as margarines, snack foods and processed cheese.
