occurring carotenoid pigment, is a powerful biological antioxidant.
Astaxanthin exhibits strong free radical scavenging activity
and protects against lipid peroxidation and oxidative damage
of LDL-cholesterol, cell membranes, cells, and tissues. Astaxanthin
